Viewpoint: Meridian band teacher talks about finishing an ultramarathon in Death Valley
Ben Blessing is the band and choir director at Compass Charter School in Meridian and ran the Badwater 135 Ultra Marathon in Death Valley in order to help raise money for his students. Blessing plans on using all of the money raised to buy instruments for his students, so the kids can learn more about music without worrying about affording their instruments.
