The Americans pulled their goalie late in the third period, but that move proved to be fatal as Jefferson Dahl and Jack Nevins took advantage, scoring within a few minutes of each other to secure Idaho's place in the second round of the Kelly Cup Playoffs.

Idaho will face defending ECHL champion the Colorado Eagles this Saturday night in Loveland, Colorado.
