EAGLE, Idaho — Police are searching an Eagle neighborhood for a wanted man after a hit-and-run crash at the Eagle Road and Island Woods Drive intersection.

Investigators say a man jumped out of a white GMC truck after crashing into a Buick Encore at the intersection at about 3 p.m. Tuesday. Police say the man, Dallon Wheeler, then ran into the Island Woods subdivision on the east side of the road.

The Ada County Sheriff's Office says Wheeler has two felony drug warrants out of Canyon County.

Eagle Police and deputies with the Ada County Sheriff's Office searched the neighborhood but weren't able to find Wheeler.

Police believe Wheeler headed east along the Greenbelt.

The sheriff's office said they called off the active neighborhood search for him but police are still "actively searching for him."

The Ada County Sheriff's Office asks that if anyone has information about Wheeler that they call non-emergency dispatch at 208-377-6790.
