Sun Valley gets its first snowfall of the season

The mountaintops over Sun Valley got some snow Tuesday evening.

SUN VALLEY, Idaho — There is less than a week left in summer but fall is getting a head start in much of Idaho with the recent rains.

In Sun Valley, Bald Mountain got a light dusting of snow on the very top of the mountain.

There wasn't any measurable snow, but you have to start somewhere right?

Last year, the mountain opened for skiing on Thanksgiving Day.

Sun Valley boasts the largest automated snowmaking system in the world.
