Record lows possible overnight with wide areas of frost Sunday morning.

KGW weather team. Updated several times daily, this includes the outlook around Oregon and in Southwest Washington.

After waking up to light showers, we saw a nice Saturday afternoon with a mix of clouds and sunshine. Tonight we're going to see all those clouds clear out which means overnight low temperatures are going to drop quickly. We could be seeing record breaking lows overnight with many locations around the metro area waking up to temperatures in the upper 20s to the low 30s. There's also going to be wide areas of frost, so it might be a good idea to wrap up any plants that might be sensitive to the cold weather.

Even though Sunday is going to be a cold to start, we're going to see nothing but sunshine all day long thanks in part to a ridge of high pressure that will start to build across our area.

We will start to see our temperatures slowly warm up starting tomorrow with highs around 60 degrees. By the end of next week, we could be seeing highs in the mid to upper 70s.

Have a great weekend.
