BOISE, Idaho — A section of Curtis Road is Boise will be shut down for the next two weekends, according to the Ada County Highway District.

ACHD planned the construction work for the weekends in order to minimze the impact on commuters. The closures will be in place between Fairview Avenue and Chinden Boulevard from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The northbound lanes will be closed Saturday, Oct. 2, and Saturday, Oct. 9, while southbound lanes will close Sunday, Oct. 3 and Sunday, Oct. 10. Cars will be diverted around the closures, ACHD says.

If necessary, the construction may continue the next weekend, Oct. 16 and 17, depending on weather, staffing and other variables.

Some mid-week lane closures may occur for manhole adjustments, milling and paving side streets, and striping. Any weekday work will be conducted between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., officials say.
