Idaho State Police say troopers responded to more than three dozen wrecks and slide-offs related to the snow Tuesday morning. The Ada County Sheriff's Office counted 49 crashes - six with injuries - and five slide-offs that deputies had to contend with.

Interstate 84 and the Connector were particularly hard hit, with back-to-back crashes causing major slowdowns and congestions.

Information on the severity of patients' injuries has not been released. No one was killed in any of the crashes.

Although the snow has stopped in many places, roads remain slick. Drivers should slow down and leave plenty of room to stop.

Everyone on the road is urged to use caution and keep an eye out for police and paramedics working in or near the road.
