DOVER, Idaho — A single-vehicle crash in Dover left one man dead at the scene on Friday evening.
Around 5:43 p.m., 28-year-old Sandpoint resident Jon Briggs was traveling westbound in a 1999 Lincoln Continental on Pine Street in Dover. He drove across the eastbound lane near the intersection with Syringa Heights Road and ultimately went off the roadway.
The vehicle hit a culvert, causing it to roll. Briggs was ejected from the vehicle as he was not wearing a seatbelt.
He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. His next of kin has been notified.
Idaho State Police is currently investigating the crash.
