PARMA, Idaho — A Nampa man died on Monday afternoon after he crashed into a 2016 Freight Tractor that was hauling one trailer on Interstate 84, near the Parma and Notus exit.

Idaho State Police say the crash happened at about 3:50 p.m.when Luis Cepeda, 22, failed to yield to slowing traffic and crashed into the back of a trailer.

Police say he was not wearing a seatbelt and died from his injuries at the scene of the crash.

The driver of the tractor, a 54-year-old man from Nevada, was not seriously injured in the crash and was wearing a seatbelt.

The crash closed the exit 26 westbound offramp for about three hours.
