MERIDIAN, Idaho — Drivers used to taking Chinden Boulevard will need to use their patience as construction picks up on a project to widen the road.
Starting Thursday night, several eastbound lanes of Chinden will be shut down at the Linder Road intersection. The closures are part of work to widen a section of the street.
Eastbound Chinden Boulevard will be reduced to one dedicated left turn lane and one through/right turn lane with flaggers. Drivers headed east should expect "significant delays," according to the Idaho Transportation Department, but westbound traffic will be unaffected.
