Boise State senior wide receiver Thomas Sperbeck grabbed a spot on the Biletnikoff Award Preseason Watch List, the Tallahassee Football Club Foundation announced on Wednesday.

Sperbeck is coming off of a historic 2015 season. Last fall he broke the school-record for receiving yards in a single-season (1,412) and tied the all-time mark for receptions (88). Both of those numbers led the Mountain West.

Sperbeck particularly thrived after then-freshman quarterback Brett Rypien took over midway through the third game of the season. In the final 10 and half games of 2015, Sperbeck averaged 7.9 receptions, 130.6 receiving yards and recorded all eight of his touchdown catches with Rypien as his quarterback.

The Biletnikoff Award is named after Pro Football Hall of Fame member Fred Biletnikoff. The award recognizes the most outstanding receiver - tight ends and running backs included - each year.

The award will be presented at The Home Depot College Football Awards Show on December 8 on ESPN.
