Watch Friday Night Football: Battle for the final playoff spots begin

The Lions, Vikings, and Vandals showed that they'll likely be a threat in the playoffs.

BOISE, Idaho — While the state playoffs nearly set, there are still a few teams in the Treasure Valley that are fighting for a playoff spot in week eight.

In this week's Friday Night Football, there was no shortage of big plays and major matchups to catch up on, as some teams showed their dominance and others are showing why they could be a threat if they sneak into the playoffs.

Some of this week's major matchups included the 5-2 Borah Lions taking on the 6-1 Mountain View Mavericks, the 5-2 Vallivue Falcons played the 5-2 Nampa Bulldogs, and the undefeated McCall-Donnelly Vandals tried to stay perfect against the 4-2 Nampa Christian Trojans.
