Boise State swimming and diving team involved in car crash before taking on Wyoming

The team was heading to the Boise Airport on Friday morning when one of their vans was struck by another vehicle. Five people, including one of the coaching staff, were held back from the trip for precautionary measures.

BOISE, Idaho — Members of the Boise State swimming and diving program were involved in a traffic accident on their way to the airport on Friday morning.

The Broncos were headed to the Boise Airport to fly to a competition being held in Laramie, Wyo. While on their way, one of their vans was struck by another vehicle.

Most of the student-athletes were medically cleared and continued on to Laramie. There were, however, five individuals - including a member of the coaching staff - that were held back for precautionary measures.

"At this point, none of the injuries are considered serious," said a Boise State spokesperson.

The Broncos are scheduled to compete in an exhibition meet at the University of Wyoming on Friday evening, before squaring off against the Cowgirls on Saturday at 10 a.m.
