BOISE, Idaho — There is an emergency road closure in the east Boise Foothills.
Shaw Mountain Road is closed because of a washout.
The Ada County Highway District says the creek jumped its bank and took out parts of the road.
The closure begins at Rocky Bluff Lane, and continues for more than three and a half miles up.
ACHD crews will begin to repair and rebuild the road Thursday.
The road closure is in effect until further notice.
