BOISE, Idaho — A Rupert woman is enjoying her newfound wealth after hitting it big on an Idaho Lottery scratch game called "The Whole Shebang."

Jennifer Rodriguez says she stopped by the Oasis Stop ‘N Go in Paul after work Monday to pick up a few items and bought a $10 scratch ticket while in the store.

“I didn’t think it was real. I used my phone to check the ticket,” explained Rodriquez on using the Idaho Lottery’s free mobile Check-a-Ticket app. “It said to contact the Lottery. I signed the back of my ticket but was convinced the app wasn’t working properly.”

Rodriquez held on to the ticket Tuesday and checked it again Wednesday. She showed a picture of the winning ticket to her supervisor at work and then drove to the Idaho Lottery headquarters in Boise to claim her prize.

“This is really surreal to me,” she said as Lottery officials handed her a large, oversized souvenir check of her win. “This check will work as my ‘get off work today’ note. And I did it. I won the whole shebang!”

Rodriquez says she and her family are going to live life with their winnings.

For selling the winning ticket, Oasis Stop ‘N Go in Paul receives a $10,000 bonus.
