Wildfire burning southeast of the Boise Airport

The Leone Fire, which started at 5:30 p.m. Sunday night, has burned approximately 1,000 acres near Blacks Creek Road.

BOISE -- A large wildfire is burning southeast of the Boise Airport.

The Leone Fire, which started at 5:20 p.m. Sunday night, has burned approximately 1,000 acres near Blacks Creek Road.

The BLM says six engines, three dozers, four brush trucks, one water tender are helping to fight the fire, along with two helicopters.

No structures have been lost.

Crews say they expect to have the fire contained by 11 p.m. Sunday night and controlled by Monday night.

No word on what started the fire but BLM says investigators are on scene.
