Study ranks Moscow as the best city to live in Idaho

Three Treasure Valley cities were ranked in the top five.

BOISE, Idaho — Sorry Boise, you didn't take the crown of the best city to live by the Chamber of Commerce, but Boise did come out ahead of two other Treasure Valley cities.

Moscow was ranked the best city, followed by Boise at second, Eagle took third, Meridian was ranked fourth and Coeur d'Alene took fifth place.

The ranking highlights Moscow's college town feel, and growing arts and culture scene.

Boise's growing economy and booming housing market factored into the city's number two standings, according to the ranking.

Both Eagle and Meridian were lauded in their rankings for their rapid economic growth and population booms in recent years.

The ranking examined over 2,5000 cities that had populations of over 25,000 people on five factors - health, housing costs, education, employment, and quality of life.

Rexburg, Idaho Falls, Twin Falls, Post Falls, and Lewiston round out the top ten.

The Chamber of Commerce is a website that provides digital resources for small businesses and entrepreneurs.
