MARSING, Idaho — The city of Marsing is celebrating Independence Day one day early with a July 3rd Fireworks Extravaganza at Marsing Island Park.
But because of construction, traffic will be reduced to a single lane on Highway 55 north of the bridge and in town. No left turns will be allowed in town during the event, and the Snake River bridge will be closed to bicycles and foot traffic.
The Idaho Transportation Department is rebuilding the bridge and the highway through downtown Marsing.
The city has arranged for a free shuttle service to and from the fireworks event.
