Road to X Games Qualifier set for June 28-29 in Boise

This marks the third consecutive year the competition will be held at Rhodes Skate Park.

BOISE, Idaho — City officials announced Wednesday that the Road to X Games will return to downtown Boise this summer.

The Boise Park Qualifier will be held at Rhodes Skate Park on June 28 and 29, 2019. This marks the third consecutive year that Boise will host the invitation-only competition.

It gives top skateboarders and BMX riders from around the world the chance to compete for an invitation to X Games Minneapolis.

More than 12,000 fans attended the two-day event in 2018 to watch qualifying rounds, visit vendor booths and check out the free family fun zone near the skate park.

The qualifier is also broadcast on ESPN.

The Boise Park Qualifier is part of the Road to X Games series and features 60 invited athletes in three disciplines at Rhodes Skate Park: Men’s Skateboard Park, Women’s Skateboard Park and BMX Park. Top finishers in Friday’s elimination rounds will move on to the final rounds on Saturday.

Boise Parks and Recreation will be offering tickets for bleacher seats to watch qualifying rounds up-close at Rhodes Skate Park. More details on ticket sales will be announced in the spring.
