OWYHEE, Nev. -- Voluntary evacuations have been lifted for the Owyhee fire burning near the Idaho-Nevada border.

The Bureau of Land Management says the fire, located half a mile east of Owyhee, has burned approximately 5,000 acres and is 10% contained as of Sunday night.

Voluntary evacuations were in place for parts of the city of Owyhee, but were later lifted.

Officials say they expect the fire to continue eastward towards Owyhee, but are providing structure protection.

Winds and dry brush are helping fuel the fire.

SR-225 is back open between Mountain City and mile marker 121EL,

Over 400 personnel are working to knock down the fire. Officials say they expect to have the fire contained by Saturday, July 28.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
