Momo the Australian Cattle Dog mix is just one of the pets hoping for a new home for Christmas this year.

BOISE, Idaho — Looking for a furry friend this Christmas? KTVB will be featuring adoptable pets this month as part of the annual 12 Strays of Christmas Event. 

The dogs and cats, all of which are available at the Idaho Humane Society, will be shown off Monday through Friday at the News at Noon through Christmas.

STRAY 1: Koichi the dachshund-terrier mix is a little shy at first, but loves to cuddle once he gets to know you.

STRAY 2: Big Red is a social boy who is an affectionate "shelter favorite." 

STRAY 3: Momo has a lot of energy, and is looking for a home with owners who can keep up with him.

STRAY 4: Guinea pigs Yolanda and Francine are social critters being adopted out as a pair. 

STRAY 5: After a stint in a foster home, little Bartholomew is ready to be adopted.


STRAY 6: Robin the Great Pyrenees mix is very calm and sweet-tempered.

STRAY 7: Sammy has a lot of energy, and would make a great running or biking companion!

STRAY 8: Turkey is a handsome 4-year-old domestic shorthair who is calm enough to walk on a leash!

STRAY 9: Olivia is a gentle Chihuahua-mix looking for a lap to sit on.

STRAY 10: Rex is a two-year-old who likes to play with toys and enjoys relaxing around the house.  

Stray 11: Meet Travis, a 10-month-old cat in need of a loving home.

Stray 12: Snoop is an 11-month-old labradoodle. He is a terrific dog.
