BOISE - Folks were outside enjoying opening day of the Boise Farmers Market Saturday. Lots of people went to check out the plants, produce, and other items.

Vendors say they are excited for the season kick-off.

"I think it's a great link to the local food movement. The Boise Farmers Market is definitely right on point with local food in Boise," Elayne Rayne with Next Generation Organics said.

The market will now be open on Saturday's from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is located in the republic parking lot on 10th and Grove.
