Fundraising efforts to support two injured Boise police officers is going beyond city limits.

Two local businesses in Mountain Home are donating all their proceeds earned this Saturday to Corporal Kevin Holtry and Corporal Chris Davis.

About 500 customers visit Brie’sta Coffee Company in Mountain Home every day.

Owner Brie Thomason chose to host her shop's fundraiser on Saturday in hopes of bringing in even more traffic.

“We have also had customers coming through all week who are saying they won't be able to make it, so they give us cash,” said Thomason.

As of noon Wednesday, they've already raised over $300.

Brie's husband is a former cop and says last Friday's shooting in Boise hits close to home.

“When the shooting happened it affected us personally and we were wondering how we could give back,” said Thomason.

Saturday's fundraiser is coined “Drive Thru to Support Blue.”

Since announcing it on Facebook, a neighboring boutique and salon told Brie they also want to help.

“We will be over there with our mobile booth as well. We will donating all of our proceeds as well,” said Hailey Owen, owner of Cheeky's Boutique and Salon.

Members from the Mountain Home Police and Fire departments, along with volunteers from the military community, will be collecting additional donations from Brie'sta's parking lot during the event Saturday.

A GoFundMe Account has also been set up for injured officer Kevin Holtry who remains hospitalized.
