NEW MEADOWS -- A Middleton man was killed Wednesday when police say he crashed head-on into a motorhome on US-95.

The crash happened at 4:52 p.m. near new Meadows.

According to Idaho State Police, 59-year-old Kenny Koeberlein was driving south in a Dodge Dakota when his vehicle crossed the centerline. The pickup collided with a motorhome driven by 64-year-old Louie Garcia of California.

The pickup went off the right side of the road, and rolled. Koeberlein was thrown from the vehicle, and died from his injuries at the scene.

Police say Garcia and his passenger were wearing seatbelts; Koeberlein was not. The crash blocked US-95 for three hours.

The collision remains under investigation.
