BOISE -- Two men were critically injured after they were hit by a car in downtown Boise late Wednesday night.

The collision happened at 10:45 p.m. near the intersection of Main and 10th streets.

According to Boise Police, the two people who were struck had gotten into a fight in front of a business in the area. The fight continued out into the street, at which point they were hit by the car.

The driver of the car remained at the scene, and is cooperating with investigators. He was not cited, and no charges have been filed in the case.

Both of the men who were hit were taken by ambulance to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The names and current conditions of the injured men have not been released. The situation remains under investigation by the Boise Police Department.
