BOISE — Idaho State Police responded to an injury crash on Interstate 84 just east of Boise Monday morning.

According to dispatch, the single-vehicle rollover crash was reported at 9:30 a.m. It happened near milepost 64, just east of the Blacks Creek interchange.

Police said Andriana Goewey, 22, of Barry, Illinois, was driving eastbound on I-84 in a 2003 Buick Century and went off the right side of the road. She lost control, struck a guard rail and rolled the car.

Goewey had to be extricated after the car ended up on its roof in the middle of the eastbound lanes of traffic.

Goewey was taken by air ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. Her passengers - Shirley Goewey and two juveniles - were transported by ground ambulance to Saint Alphonsus in Boise.

All the car's occupants were wearing seat belts.

The eastbound lanes of I-84 were completely blocked, but just after 10:30 a.m. the left lane was cleared. About 10 minutes after that ISP sent out an alert that all lanes of traffic had been cleared.

Traffic was backed up for miles and moving very slowly.
