Emmett man dies after being thrown off his motorcycle in Gem County

The man was ejected from his motorcycle and died from his injuries at the scene, after failing to stop at a stop sign.

LETHA, Idaho — An Emmett man died after being thrown from his motorcycle in Gem County on Saturday morning.

Idaho State Police say 58-year-old William Miller of Emmett was driving his Harley motorcycle and failed to stop at a stop sign, near the intersection of Berglund and Dewey roads, south of Letha in Gem County.

Miller was ejected from his motorcycle and died from his injuries at the scene. His motorcycle was found in a field about 30 yards off the road.

He was not wearing a helmet.
