MURTAUGH, Idaho — A Twin Falls man died on Saturday after being struck by a tractor when he fell off his bike while trying to pass it, according to Idaho State Police.
The crash was first investigated at about 2:45 p.m. on Murtaugh Road, about four miles north of Murtaugh, Idaho in Twin Falls County.
Investigators say the bicyclist, 42-year-old Shae Mayner of Twin Falls, was riding on Murtaugh Grade when he tried to pass a tractor driven by a 52-year-old man from Rupert, Idaho
Mayner fell off of his bike and was hit by the tractor while trying to pass, police say.
He died from his injuries at the scene.
Mayner was wearing a helmet.
