BOISE - Some Treasure Valley residents are waking to a surprise in their front yards - a bright red toilet.

Representative with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society have been putting the toilets in people's yards at night as part of their "Flush Away Cancer" fundraiser.

If you find a toilet in your front yard, you have a couple options: You can pay $20 to have it moved to a yard of your choice, or for $30, you can have it moved with "toilet insurance" to guarantee that it won't come back to your yard.

All of the proceeds benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

"It's bringing opportunity right to people's doors," said fundraiser coordinator Kristie Bear. "It's not just people wondering how can I give back? We're giving them right on their door."

The campaign will continue for about two more months, leading up to the Gala of Hope benefit at Stuekle Sky Center on April 22. If you would like to donate to the cause or purchase tickets to the gala, click here.
