Ground broken in Meridian for 2020 St. Jude Dream Home

The dream home will be built by Berkeley Building Company in the Bridgetower West community in Meridian.

MERIDIAN, Idaho — The groundbreaking ceremony for the 15th St. Jude Dream Home took place in Meridian Tuesday.

Last year, tickets for the dream home sold out in a record-breaking four days, raising more than $1 million for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

This year, the 2020 home will be built by Berkeley Building Company in the Bridgetower West community in Meridian.

This is Berkeley's 7th dream home.

"The home this year, it's really exciting, it's a single level home, about 2,500 square feet,” said Joe Atalla, President, Berkeley Building Company. “Every year everybody asks, we want to see a secret room. So, this year we've brought the secret room back and we've got some other exciting surprises too."

Tickets for the St. Jude Dream Home are expected to go on sale April 17th. They are $100 each.

The dream home giveaway is scheduled for May 31st.
