Fruitland woman's body pulled from Snake River

Officials say they have not found any indications of foul play in the woman's death.

PAYETTE, Idaho — Deputies are investigating after a woman was found dead in the Snake River Tuesday. 

According to the Payette County Sheriff's Office, a person spotted the body in the water near the Centennial Park Boat Docks at about noon.

Deputies used the sheriff's office's jet boat to retrieve the body from the river. The woman, identified as 46-year-old Tonya Goodman of Fruitland, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The Payette County Coroner is still working to determine how Goodman died, but officials say they have not found any indications of foul play. 

The death remains under investigation.
