BOISE, Idaho — Nearly 60 Idaho lawmakers raised over $22,000 for Idaho schools by walking.

This was all part of the "Steps for Schools" walking challenge.

During the month of February, lawmakers wore exercising devices, like Fitbits, as they went about their lives.

Their goal was to average 10,000 steps each day.

Those who met the goal earned $500 to be used for physical activity equipment or walking programs at a school of their choice.

Overall, they raised raised $22,500.
