NAMPA, Idaho — A Caldwell woman died early Saturday morning after losing control of her vehicle and driving into a telephone pole.

Idaho State Police responded to the crash at about 5 a.m. at the intersection of Joe Lane and Robinson Road, near Nampa.

The woman, Adrianna Valdez, 21, was driving a 2007 Mazda pickup northbound on Robinson Road. She then lost control of the truck, drove off the shoulder and slammed into a telephone pole.

According to Idaho State Police, Valdez was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected out of the car. She later died from her injuries.

Idaho State Police are investigating the crash.
