FORT HALL, Idaho — A young woman was hospitalized after a semi truck slammed into her broken-down SUV on Interstate 15 early Thursday morning.
According to Idaho State Police, 21-year-old Rylee Moss was headed south near Fort Hall when her Ford Explorer broke down, coming to a stop partially in the left lane.
Moss was inside the SUV when a southbound semi truck, driven by 34-year-old Michael Empey, came up on the wreck and crashed into her vehicle just before 1:15 a.m.
Moss was taken by ambulance to the Portneuf Medical Center. The severity of her injuries has not been released.
Empey was not injured. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, according to police.
The crash blocked the left lane of Interstate 15 for about an hour.
