BOISE - It's now much easier for people in Idaho to donate stem cells or blood and marrow to help save a life, and it's all thanks to St. Luke's Bone Marrow Program.

The hospital's Mountain States Tumor Institute announced it's the first site in the state that can collect donations for the national "Be The Match" registry.

All you have to do is go to St. Luke's to have your stem cells collected, then they're shipped to wherever the patient is that needs them.

And some great news to pass along, St. Luke's MSTI recently conducted its first life-saving donation.

A man who signed up to be a donor two decades ago while a student at Boise State University finally got a call that he was a match.
