Skyway Elementary in Coeur d'Alene reports another positive coronavirus case

The district said this case doesn't appear connected to a previous case at the elementary school.

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — Another individual at Skyway Elementary School in Coeur d'Alene has tested positive for coronavirus, Coeur d'Alene Public Schools said on Friday.

According to the district, one other individual has been identified as a close contact and is quarantining. The district also said this case doesn't appear to be connected to a previous case.

The school was cleaned and will be reopening as normal next week, the district said.

Skyway Elementary School in Coeur d'Alene has announced that one individual has tested positive for coronavirus, leading to 24 people being asked to quarantine.

Coeur d'Alene Public Schools previously said in a Facebook post on Sept. 16 that the individual had close contact with 13 students and 11 members of the staff who were asked to quarantine. The district didn't clarify if the positive test was a student or staff member.
