CANYON COUNTY - Four people have been taken to the hospital following a crash involving a motorcycle and passenger car at Homedale Road and Plum Road.

It happened at about 12:51 p.m. Saturday.

Before the crash, Joel Eells, 21, of Caldwell, was driving a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle northbound on a ditch bank to the south of Plum Road, and Michael Case, 22, of Nampa, was driving a 2007 Ford Focus eastbound on Homedale Road.

Idaho State Police say Eells failed to yield at the intersection, and was struck by the Ford Focus.

Everyone in the Ford was wearing a seat belt, but Eells was not wearing a helmet, police say.

Eells was flown to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.

A ground ambulance crew took Michael Case, Jessica Case, and a juvenile passenger to Saint Alphonsus in Nampa.

The roads were blocked for about two hours after the crash, which is under investigation by ISP.
