NAMPA -- Police are searching for a motorist accused of attacking a female flagger in Nampa Wednesday morning.

According to investigators, the incident happened at about 11:30 a.m. near the intersection of Kings and Victory roads.

Police say the suspect punched the 67-year-old woman in the face, then grabbed onto her as he drove away, dragging her a short distance down the street.

The attacker was last seen driving south on Kings Road. The flagger was taken to a local hospital for treatment, and is expected to make a full recovery.

The suspect is described as a black man, approximately 28-30 years old, driving a silver Mustang convertible with a black top. The car had dark tinted windows and a partial Idaho license plate 2CM, suggesting the driver is a Canyon County resident.

Anyone who witnessed the attack or has any information is urged to contact Nampa Police. Police say tipsters can message the police department on Facebook or leave a voicemail for the investigating officer at 208-468-5680, option 9.
