Idaho Fish and Game seeks info about two big game poaching cases

They happened last week in the Garden Valley and Lowman areas.

GARDEN VALLEY, Idaho — Idaho Fish and Game is asking for the public’s help in two suspected poaching cases in the Garden Valley and Lowman areas.

Fish and Game conservation officer Corey Taylor reported that on the evening of Oct. 20, a spike elk was shot and left to waste on Terrace Lakes Golf Course near Crouch.

The next evening, a mule deer was shot and left to waste in the Rock Creek drainage near Lowman. A witness reported seeing a late 1990s white Chevrolet pickup with 2C plates leaving the area around 5 p.m.

"I am very interested in visiting with anyone who has information regarding these suspected poaching cases," Taylor said.

Citizens Against Poaching is offering a reward for information in both cases and callers can remain anonymous. Contact CAP at 1-800-632-5999.

In addition to the CAP hotline, persons with information regarding this case may also contact the Fish and Game Nampa office at 208-465-8465 weekdays and Idaho State Police at 208-846-7550 on weekends.
