PARMA, Idaho — A Parma man is behind bars after investigators say he traded thousands of dollars worth of stolen property for drugs and money.
Narciso Pena, 58, was arrested Wednesday at a home on East Grove Avenue in Parma.
According to the Parma Police Department, officers found nearly $20,000 worth of stolen tools while serving a search warrant at the home.
Pena and three unidentified accomplices have been linked to three property-related crimes in the Parma area, police said, adding that they may also be connected to crimes in surrounding areas as well.
Investigators say Pena had been receiving stolen property from multiple sources, and then paid cash or traded the stolen items for drugs. He then allegedly traded off property to other sources in the Treasure Valley for drugs and cash.
Pena was booked into the Canyon County Jail on felony charges of theft by receiving, possession of stolen property and possession of a controlled substance. He also faces a misemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to use. Investigators say Pena could face additional charges.
Anyone with information on the case, or who may have been a victim of property theft in the area during the past six months is encouraged to contact Parma police at (208) 722-7373.
