BOISE, Idaho — A Boise caregiver wanted in the death of the man he was supposed to care for has been arrested in Southern California.

Omar Hamadi, 24, was arrested Tuesday in the San Diego area by U.S. Marshals.

Police say Hamadi was taking care of a 38-year-old disabled man in Boise.

In May, they say Hamadi left the man in a scalding hot bathtub, which eventually led to the man's death.

Hamadi faces felony charges for abuse and exploitation or neglect of a vulnerable adult.

Ada County is working on bringing Hamadi back to Idaho to face those charges.
