Nampa police are concerned that there may be other victims after an arrest was made in connection with the rape of a female who was sleeping in her bedroom in July.

Police received a report on July 31 of a rape that happened just after midnight July 29 at a residence near West Roosevelt Avenue and Midland Boulevard. It was determined that the suspect entered the residence through an unlocked door.

The suspect was identified as 36-year-old Joshua A. Hays of Nampa, and he was charged with rape and burglary. He's being held at the Canyon County Jail.

Police said because of the boldness of the crime, this may not be an isolated incident. If there are other victims, they're asked to call 208-465-2257 to speak to an officer and file a report.
