Nampa man arrested for aggravated battery

CALDWELL -- Caldwell Police detectives say they have arrested a Nampa man who they say shot two men last month.

Felipe Nunes Lopez-Guadarrama, 39, was taken into custody without incident Thursday afternoon at a home in the 2700 block of Bristol Avenue in Caldwell. He is also known as Manuel Nunes Chavez and is listed in the jail roster under this alias.

Lopez-Guadarrama was booked into the Canyon County Jail on a warrant for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. His bond is set at $1 million.

Detectives also arrested Sonia Diaz, 42, of Caldwell, on a charge of harboring a fugitive.

According to police, the shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. on April 8 in the 4900 block of Cleveland Boulevard. When officers arrived they found two men, Rodolfo Reyes, 31, and Juan Reyes, 46, both of Emmett, had been hurt and the suspect had fled.

Police tell us one of the men was shot in the arm and the other in the torso. The one shot in the torso is still hospitalized.

Lopez-Guadarrama is scheduled to be arraigned on the charges this afternoon.
