BOISE -- A Boise man is behind bars after police say he sexually assaulted a woman in West Boise Saturday.
The victim told police she was attacked by a man she did not know at about noon behind a home on Fox Lane. The woman said her attacker forced her to take an unknown substance, then raped her.
Investigators say they found evidence linking 37-year-old Jesus Salvador Ramos to the rape. Police tracked Ramos down and took him into custody at about 1:30 a.m. the next morning. The suspect and victim do not know each other, according to Boise Police.
Investigation into the case is ongoing, police said.
Ramos was booked into the Ada County Jail, and is due to appear in court Monday afternoon. If convicted of rape, Ramos could face up to life in prison.
