BOISE, Idaho — A former Shoshone County coroner has been sentenced for misusing public money.

The attorney general's office says 48-year-old Kelli Garcia of Kellogg plead guilty to one misdemeanor before her sentencing.

An investigation revealed the then-coroner used a county credit card to make a personal purchase during an out of town conference.

She later reimbursed the county for the charges.

On Wednesday, the judge in the case withheld judgment and sentenced Garcia to one year of unsupervised probation with 100 hours of community service.

The judge also ordered her to pay a fine and court costs.
