MERIDIAN, Idaho — A man wanted in connection to a hit-and-run crash earlier this week has been arrested on a long list of felony drug charges.
Meridian police arrested Dallon Wheeler Thursday afternoon on charges that include heroin trafficking, possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture or deliver, and resisting arrest.
Police had been looking for Wheeler since Tuesday when he was allegedly involved in a hit-and-run crash at the intersection of Eagle Road and Island Woods Drive in Eagle.
According to investigators, the man jumped out of a white GMC truck after crashing into a Buick Encore, then ran into the Island Woods subdivision on the east side of the road.
The Ada County Sheriff's Office said at the time that Wheeler had two felony drug warrants out of Canyon County.
As of Thursday night, Wheeler had not yet been charged in connection to the hit-and-run crash. He is expected to make his first court appearance on Friday.
