BOISE -- A 20-year-old man is facing felony charges after police say he held a girl against her will and had sexual contact with her.

Police received a tip on Saturday that Zurel Nelson Turner of Castro Valley, California, had had inappropriate sexual contact with a child under the age of 16.

Officers found the victim and Turner the same day.

Boise Police say the investigation turned up evidence that the suspect and victim had been together since May 30, and that the girl had been held against her will on multiple occasions.

Turner was arrested and charged with first-degree kidnapping and lewd conduct. He is currently held in the Ada County Jail on a $500,000 bond, and has been ordered to have no contact with the victim.

The suspect is due back in court Aug. 1 for a preliminary hearing. If convicted, he could face up to life in prison.
