BOISE, Idaho — A Boise man is behind bars after police say he sexually assaulted a 7-year-old in 2015.
Joseph Nutter, 35, was arrested Wednesday on felony charges of forcible penetration with a foreign object and lewd conduct.
Mountain Home Police began investigating after learning about the assault on the child, who is now 10.
Nutter was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon by Boise Police, and booked into the Ada County Jail. He is due to appear in court Thursday afternoon.
If convicted, Nutter could face up to life in prison.
