ACSO: Wanted man arrested after running from deputies, hiding in Kuna garage

A neighbor caught the ordeal on camera.

KUNA, Idaho — A wanted Kuna man was arrested Thursday afternoon after deputies say he ran from a home and hid in a neighbor's garage.

Brendan Lee Manzon, 45, had been wanted on a no-bond felony arrest warrant for a parole violation.

Authorities learned that Manzon might be at a home on Rosedust Drive in Kuna. A spokesman from the Ada County Sheriff's Office said deputies had also received reports of drug activity at the home.

Just after 1 p.m., deputies spotted Manzon in the home. They set up around the home and used a loudspeaker to ask him to turn himself in.

According to the sheriff's office, Manzon stuck his head out a window and said he would be out in a minute. Moments later, deputies saw him running though the back yard and away from the home.

A few minutes later, a homeowner on Firebrick Drive - less than a block away - called 911 to say someone was in his garage. The homeowner got out of the home and met up with deputies, who then used a code to open the garage door.

Manzon then turned himself in without further incident and was booked into the Ada County Jail, authorities said. The entire ordeal lasted about 20 minutes.

A neighbor of the person's whose garage was broken into sent us video he shot showing police opening the door and taking the suspect out in handcuffs.

Kevin Herring says he shot the video from an upstairs room in his home.

"It progressed pretty quickly," Herring said. "The guy was hopping over the fences from house to house.

"Another reason to keep your back door locked," he added. "So that's a big reminder for us is, make sure when you're here during the day, keep the door locked."

According to the sheriff's office a 31-year-old woman was also arrested at the Rosedust address on an outstanding warrant for misdemeanor probation violation.
