CapEd presents check for 7Cares Coat Drive

A lot of smiles at the CapEd Credit Union in Meridian today.

That's because CapEd presented a $2,000 check to the Salvation Army as part of the 7Cares Coat Drive.

“We have a great group of caring members and those members contributed about $1,500, and then we thought that $2,000 was much better than $1,500, so we rounded it up and the credit union participated at $500,” said Todd Christensen, CapEd Credit Union senior vice president of marketing.

“We are so blessed to have this additional money to be able to provide for those who are still in need,” said Major Rhonda Lloyd with the Salvation Army.

CapEd also collected plenty of coats for this year's coat drive. In all, more than 2,500 coats were donated in the Treasure Valley alone.
